I'm in need of some less expensive SDC's. I have a pair that are currently out of commission. Uses will be overheads and acoustic guitar.
$300 pair The avants seem like they would be the best mic. At 300 per pair they are more than the others I've listed. But they look like a painted 603 or jm27. But am i Paying for a nice wooden box? However they come with 3 Capsules (omni - cardioid - hyper card)
$99 pair The Karma K10 seem like they would be a lot like the jm27 or 603's.
$100 pair The Equation cmi.103 looks like a nice little mic. It seems to have some nice features for a cheap mic. It could sound pretty aweful though.
Anyone used any of these? If so what are your thoughts?
