Anyone got an Ampeg VT-22 or V-2 to trade or sale?

I guess the title covers it.....although I would take a V-4 also.
But what I'd really like is one of those ridiculuosly heavy VT-22s.
 
Ah, VT-22, one of the best guitar amps ever built. I have owned two of them through the years and two V4s also. I hope you find what you are looking for. I have seen them on ebay not priced to high. Actually I may have a buddy who has a V2 for sale. I will email him and see what I can find out.
 
That'd be great......I'm using my old V-2 now and I think I've finally found my sound. And it has volume like one of those boutique amps.......too cool.
 
I emailed my buddie so as soon as I get a response I will let you know. I must ask though, if you allready own a V2 why do you want another? Are you going stereo?
 
LOL....no I'm not gonna complicate my life that much.

I just want a back-up.....they are old amps after all, so if this is my sound then I need a spare. And the VT-22, of course, is a V-4 based combo so if I got one of those it would be a bit different.

But good lord, this V-2 is just a great amp for me. I know that it's too 'middy' sounding for a lot of guys but I really like that midrange boxy sort of sound for guitar.
 
I'd take a VT-40. All that is, is a V-2 in a combo form with 4-10s.
Does he want to get rid of it?
 
Yes, he wants to sell it, i will email him for the price. I will also ask him if I can give you his email address.

I'm interested for sure (lord knows what shipping will be on that heavy thing :D )
Shoot me that e-mail address and I'll get things rolling. This might be better for me than a VT-22 as I am a fan of 10 inch speakers.

His name is Jimmy Eppard, try going to google and typing that name in and watch comes up. You will be suprised.
He is near Woodstock NY where I used to live so I dont think you would be coming to get it.
He said to put Re:VT40 in the subject field or he might just delete it not knowing who it is coming from.
Man I wish I had the money for it. I love ampeg amps.
