Anyone ever use " The Internet Tape Deck ' 8 track freeware ?

I downloaded the Internet Tape Deck 8 track freeware and it seemed to be pretty cool for free. My problem was a screen would pop up at startup saying that I didn't have full duplex capabilities. I did not, as my computer just had a ensonic chipset on the motherboard. I could still select tracks 1 & 2 and record my drum machine in stereo, as the input selections would drop down with choices for each track such as: Line L, Line R, ect...
I goe's and buys myself a SB 512 PCI soundcard to get the duplex situation goin on, but now it does'nt give me the option of declairing a track as right or left. Just CD, AUX, Line, What U hear, ect... If I try to arm 2 tracks, it will only let me do one or the other.
Any Ideas ?

Like I said, before I got my SB512 PCI, it gave me more choices than this, and also offered left or right,i.e. :
CD-R
CD-L
Line-R
Line_L
MIDI-R
MIDI-L
Wave-R
Wave-L
ect.....
I got the program from hitsquaid but the link errors 404 anymore. Luckily I copied it to a cd, so I still have it availble to reload If nessecery. All I'm interested in using is the line in.

Did you install (current and correct for your OS) drivers for your SB 512 PCI?

Thanks for the replies. I purchased the SB 512 PCI about 2 months ago and used the enclosed cd " Sound Blaster PCI 512 Software" and it installed the driver.
It also added this drop dpwn control panel at the top of my screen when you run the cursor all the way to the top. It has a Playcenter (CD0 player, recporder, wave recorder, Enviornmental control(effects), game audio configyration, Audio config (2 speaker, 4 speaker, ect). Audio H.Q.>Sound font, Device control, mixer.
O.S. is 98.

I'm betting it is that damn software (the drop down thingy). Can you kill it, then start your 8 track program, and see if that does it? Also check in device control and mixer for some kind of checkbox or option that is combining your L-R channels.

Well it's not the mixer, and I can't figure out yet how to kill the drop down thingy without dissableing the soundcard and it's features.
My main idea was to dump my multi tape on to 2 tracks and add to it or send it back to multi tape as stereo, trying to bounce as much as i can with minimul noise.
I guess I can always use the " CD Wave Editor " or the wave recorder in my sound card, now that I figured out the line in was muted in the mixer.
I don't know......try this, try that. Shit or go blind. Nonthelese, I think I got enough goin on now to keep me busy.
