Anyone been to Luthier school

has anyone here been to luthier school or learn on their own?

im considering goin to school for it and would love to hear some opinions.

My buddy went to Roberto-Venn and really enjoyed it. I apprenticed w/ a local luthier we worked toghether in a guitar shop for 5 years or so... now we both work in cabinet shops. It's not as rewarding, but it pays the bills.
