I'm interested in seeing how many people who visit and/or contribute to this board have had songs published - and as a seperate question - how many people have had songs placed on an artist recording (other than their own recordings) or in a movie, TV show, or other media????
Would you care to share your process fro getting material out there? I don't mean share the name of your publisher, etc - but perhaps how you made the transition from songwriting as a hobby or as a personal pleasure vs. actually trying to get music out there.
I know more an more people place their songs on various internet sites - which certainly if a way for your songs to be heard ...... but how many actually send demos (or mastered recording to publishers, lawyers, artist managers, etc.??
