You know you've got the ADAT Lightpipe option and I'm sure you've heard of the ADA 8000. Could be a relatively cheap option for increasing the I/O.

I plan to buy one myself come Christmas, provided I can swing it after upgrading some mics and a new drum kit.
I want to find out first hand how it compares to my Octane (which doesn't offer D/A conversion). If it's anywhere near the input quality of the Octane. I'll most likely sell the Octane in favor of having the additional outputs via the ADA 8000 for analog summing.
