Anybody used the Yamaha AW 1600 multitracker?

I'm thinking about buying a Yam. AW1600.
Anybody been up close with one?
I'm probably gonna retire my Fostex VF 160.
(which is why I have posted somethin' similar in the Fostex forum - not really a cross post - I hope!)

Come to think of it: Why isn't there a Yamaha equipment forum on HR.com?

Yep, dijonstock has the AW owners market cornered....Some pretty tolerant fellas too (I haven't been banned yet)...

I own a 1600, since the middle of Sept. For me (a magnetic tape relic), the curve is steep, but I'm really falling in love with the little box of digital doodads...
