Anybody use Zoom digital recorders?

Salutations all,

I currently use a Zoom MRS802CD. This thing kicks a$$. Is there anything this machine CAN"T do!
I'd love to hear from other Zoom product users.

You got me. Other than that, it's great. As far as how it sounds, that would be limited by your own imagination. It's fully digital and features Zoom's "proprietary noise reduction circuitry", has a bazillion effects and modeling, quazi-parametric 2 and 3 band EQ's, fully programmable stereo drum machine w/ 48 different drum kit sounds, 400 plus rhythms, 8 channel mixer, stereo master, built in CD burner. 2 XLR/phone combo inputs and 1 guitar/bass input, plus MIDI in and out sockets.

For what I do, I don't need an out board mixer or processors, it's all in one self contained package. It's a beautiful thang!!!
Check out Zsounds or Samedaymusic. A sweet, sweet thing.
 
Oh yeah,

It also has a port for an "optional" USB connection.
 
Cal me skeptical, but why does it need noise reduction? What noise is it reducing?

I'm not trying to burst your bubble. If you like it, it's good! I look forward to hearing the music you create with it.

My guitar and bass will occasionally create some audible low level noise and hum, as can also happen w/ imported sound effects such as ocean waves, train whistles, etc.. I don't really know how or why noise happens, but it can, and the built in N/R handles it nicely.

I live in the east end of North Park, aka "the 'hood", in the vicinity of 36th and University.

As far as hearing my stuff, I don't have a 'puter at home, and if I did, I don't have the foggiest notion of how to post tunes. Any suggestions?

I don't get down that way very often. I live in Valley Center and work in Rancho Bernardo.

As far as hearing my stuff, I don't have a 'puter at home, and if I did, I don't have the foggiest notion of how to post tunes. Any suggestions?
