It's a yamaha b100 III. picked it up cheap at a pawn shop. any info would be great, a manual would be even better....

Well, I don't have a manual for it, but I've got a B100. Not a version III. Mine was one of the first ones that came out. Nice head. It puts out 120 watts RMS, despite what the amp says. The "distortion" control dials in a variable amount of simulated "tube distortion" using FET technology. The B100 and the G100 (the guitar version) were some of the very first transistor amps, I believe, to use FET's to simulate tube distortion in a musical instrument amplifier.

I've also gotten some very nice recorded sounds out of the preamp out jack.

I don't know what else to say about it. A nice, basic, bass amp. I've played several hundred gigs with mine. Do you have any specific questions about it?

I can also tell you that those things are almost indestructible. Mine has survived things that would absolutely destroy any other amp. (Not that I went out of my way to abuse it, mind you.)
