Anybody familiar with the FD-8?

I recently bought an FD-8 from Ebay. It's a great unit and I am very happy with it BUT for one thing - if I use the metronome it can still be heard faintly after I've recorded a track even if I switch it off. Very annoying to hear in those quiet passages.

I have tried several modes and configurations of recording but nothing makes a difference - what gives guys?
 
You have to be careful with what you get on ebay. It was probably the reason the guy sold it to you, and of course the prick won't tell you something is wrong. I couldn't tell you why you are hearing it. You may want to have a tech look it over, to fix that and make sure there isn't something else wrong with it...
 
I have an FD8 and the only time I've ever had that problem was when the mic was picking it up through the headphones. Only way to get around that is use better headphones or turn down the click.
