Considering a standard doublewall, with an approx 10" airgap, 2 layers of 5/8 drywall on each leaf, and insulation in each cavity, is RATED at STC63, I don't think much of it at all, except it is OUTRAGEOUSLY overpriced. $2400 for a 15' wall(single)

Here is the deal though. UNLESS, your FLOOR, CEILING, DOORS, JAMBS, HVAC, ELECTRICAL meet the same level of isolation, your wasteing money. A rated door assembly that meets this STC would set you back a cool $2500 too

Then tack on another $7k to $10k for an HVAC with an NC-20 rating and you begin to see. Those ratings are baloney without the rest of it. That is the tested specs they give, which in practice, still depends on the WEAKEST LINK. So save your money. Figure out what your REAL tolerance level for soundtransmission is, because isolation is in the ear of the beholder. UNLESS you are BILL GATES, take a reality check.
