Any thoughts on the Mapex M Birch

Hi there. I was originally looking at the Mapex Pro M but I think I would like to go with a birch kit, also the M Birch are a little bit less. Also they throw in another tom with the 5 or 6 piece kits which seems like a good deal. Only thing is, none of the local stores carry mapex so I can't give them a test run. At one point I had a Yamaha Birch Custom which was awsome but it costs alot so right now it is out of my price range. Basically looking for some feedback on the M Birch. Thanks in advance.
 
I did have a look into buying one of these for myself.

I played the Mapex birch and then i also played the DW pasifica Birch and in my opinion the DW sounded better, It had a bit more projection with a nice round sound to the toms and a great sounding kick and the price tag on them isnt at all bad, its around the same you would pay for the Mapex.

It maybe an idea you want to concider but its all down to personal preference in the end and the DW is the one i preffered.
