Hello, I am trying to set up a small mixer and i am having serious issues. I am running windows 7 and trying to hook up the Behringer 1204 USB and a c-1 condenser mic. I plugged it in according to the manual. its one cable how hard could that be. Mic hooked to channel one xlr port, headphones plugged in, power on, heres where the trouble starts. I get sound in to the board. I can adjust volume, i even hear the mic through the mixer. the issue is the mic does not get into the computer! i cant record anything, period. I have checked all the windows settings i can think of but still cant figure it out. anyone have any clues to what i am doing wrong?

thanks for any help you can offer.

What software are you using on the computer? All the major DAWs have set up screens to select what audio interface you're using and route from that to a selected channel on the DAW. Exactly how you set that up depends on the software but look for a "set up" or "preferences" screen.

right now i am using a little program called Audacity but also tried wirecast. even the manage sound under the control panel of windows wont pic it up. it sees the mic, says its active but not registering sound in the computer.

You did plug a USB cable from the mixer to the computer, right? The settings are not in Windows to select the mixer as your input device, they are in Audacity. Click on 'Edit', then from the drop-down menu, select Preferences at the bottom. Under Playback and Recording, you should have the Behr mixer as an option.
