I tried posting a thread like this on the Pro Tools forums, but that doesn't appear to be a popular board, so I posted it here too since this seemed to be the next best place. Sorry if this was a bad board to post this thread in, I just wanted to actually get some replies about this.
So, my current internal hard drive only runs at 5400 RPM, which is apparently not optimal for Pro Tools. I have read Pro Tools should not be used with a hard drive any less than 7200. I am looking at getting an external hard drive that runs at 7200 RPM that is in the $50-$100 range. Can anyone give me any suggestions of what model to buy? Thanks.
I use a Windows 7 laptop, by the way.
