I have played solo with my own sequenced stuff for about the last 14-15 years and during that time relied heavily on a full compression from my CS-1. Now I am getting back into a 3 piece and find that the strat and compressor just don't cut it with rhythm, I have started using a humbucker equiped axe to get the fullness I feel I'm missing. Has anyone else had a similar experience and what worked?
I'm using a Fender Twin with both channels, one slightly dirty and the other clean plus a Jansen 70 watt amp fed from a Pod, all at the same time, mainly 'cause I can but I also enjoy the mix.

I've been down that path before. A really nice, really expensive good sounding strat with great electronics will solve that problem. However, I am notoriously cheap, and when I realized my strat wouldn't cut it, I went to humbuckers. For rock blues and jazz, I really prefer them.

Best of luck,
