I'm not a Mac guy, but it seems as though I read somewhere that the g5 won't be offered in the power books.
Of course the marketing department may sway the manufacturing department's opinion if the demand is great enough.
I guess it's one of those things where only time will tell.

very fast. with new amd manufacturing processes, imho this is going to be a hot market segment.
what do you want to do ?
i might be able to help.
in the interim check some of the recording forums around the net like audioforums.com, nuendo.com, and cakewalk.com and gearslutz.com to get a flavor of why people are excited about the amd processor and how they are using it currently.

G5 laptops won't happen unless a magical new method of liquid cooling (or whatever they're using) happens. you gotta wonder what they were thinking when they introduced this thing in their desktops.

My friend just got one of those last friday, with the airport and wireless mouse and keyboard... I feel sorry for him, but had to laugh, He said "their really cool just one plug to plug in and your all set" he's a devoted mac guy, anyway he gets the thing and I call him that night and he's been working on it for about 5-6 hours and can't get the wireless stuff to play nice togather, he called mac and they said they'll get back to him on thursday, he went on their forum and it's not a isloated problem, I tried telling him spend the extra and get a desktop G5...dwillis45 said:
