I want to record acostic guitar, eletric guitar, harmonica, flute, violin, keyboard and vocal.

Mixer and preamp: Behringer Eurorack UB1202 ($90)
2 Instrumental Mic: Studio Projects B1 ($99 x 2)
1 Vocal mic: Shure SM57 ($90) or AKG C900 ($80)

totally, it costs around $380.

i may spend a bit more. any suggestions? especially for the vocal mic, i want to have one with mount and pad.

do you mean music style? i would like to record hymns, acoustic blues and some country tunes.

what he means is what medium are you recording to? none of the items you listed for your studio record audio. are you useing your computer? Digital multitrack?

I mean cassette, reel to reel, digital multitrack, computer. What medium are you going to record yourself on. The gear is fine but htere is no recorder mentioned.

Saloon doors slam open......

Anyone seen a cowboy ran' here ba the name o' Boingoman?

Check out the threads on the Studio Projects mics here. Use the search function or just check out pages in the mic forum. A new thread about these mics comes up every other day. Lots of info & opinions. I'm not familiar with them but I pretty much guarantee you will prefer the B1 for your vocals over the 57. Considering the kind of stuff you want to do you may want to get one of the nicer Studio Project mics instead of the 57, like the multi-pattern B3. Also check around here for some of the stereo mic technique threads. The two B1s or a B3 & B1 could be used together for some pretty varied techniques.

Don't forget to budget some money for stands and cables.

Here is a place with better prices on SP mics:
