Hi everyone!

I play guitar and piano and I do a lot of songwriting so I thought I'd go one step further and record something and try to make it sound good.

So I purchased Samplitude SE and a few Virtual Instruments that I simply can't record myself (like Drums) and here's my first result.

filespider.info/file.php?file=2950b6afd1a54045c0659ae2368893c8

Since I am really a beginner on that topic (compression, EQ, panning etc.) I would be very glad if some of you could listen to this (see below) and give a few advices where to start to make it sound better.

I know that in most topics like that the answers are something like "you decide what sounds good" or "try it out, noone can give you a step-by-step tutorial to make a good song". But without having much knowledge of the whole topic "trying out things" is nearly impossible. Turning all the knobs on the EQ or compression plug-in is senseless if I don't know where to go. A few tipps could give me a good start on this.

Thanks,
Bernd
