I got so disgusted with the MM (I bought it before I knew better), I deleted it from my machine and trashed the disk. I've recovered and moved on.

These are all plug-ins...if these plug-ins really worked, then whats the point of having high-end condenser mics? why is neumann alive then? we would rather buy cheap end condensers and use plugins to make it sound professional...? i dont think so...

So far it has been my experience that plugins can only enhance the signal it gets.

Sometimes for the better ( gotta admit that the psp warmer can put some nice hair on a solo).

Sometimes for the worse. Most of the reverbs sound like garbage cans being dropped. And the compression? Ohh the humanity!

pointless if you ask me. like so many of you have said. you cant emulate a mic sound with a plug in, at least not very well.

It's ok.......

Look, if you think it's gonna turn your rat shack dynamic into a swan, well, I've got this bridge that you've just got to buy. However, what it does do pretty well is instantly give you a 30 year veteran AE's "knowledge" of how to tweak EQ's and such to bend a given mic's sonic signature toward another's. It is absolutely true that given some decent gear to work with, you can do the same thing without the plugin......IF you have worked with all those mics for years and memorized their signature, and know how to get from here to there. So for the seasoned vet, this is a worthless plugin. For someone who has the cash to burn (that's most of us, right? :( ) and not much experience, it's a pretty worthwhile plugin. Where it leaves me is the price. It's too much money that would be better spent towards a real mic locker.
