Suck 'em and see!
I'm having problems EQing a vocal track recorded with an Audio Technica ST90 MKII. Trying to use the Antares to match it but that particular mic isn't listed under source mics.

I've never even seen one of these. Can anyone tell me what might be the closest match in the mic modeler?

Thanks,

Alec.

The mic is a limitd edition. It's not even listed on the Audio Technica website

Is that the Antares plug-in or the Vocal Producer?

I've used the VP a little, and it has so many good sounds that I don't see why you don't just keep twiddlin' the knobs till you get a good sound.
Unless the original track is really bad.

May take a while...

but, the only thing I can suggest is to find the closest one manualy, (I do this to make sure the distance/proximity setting is set right ), first pick a mic for the source and make it the same distance you recorded at, now put that same mic and distanse in the modeled side, what this will do is set it active/flat, so in other words, say you had a U87, picking a U87 for both source and modeled should have no effect on the sound (check this by switching it in and out of the chain) it should sound like a U87, if not than the proximity or levels are off. what your going to have to do is go though all the mics and find the one that has the least amount of effect when set-up this way, then use that as your source mic.
