Antares AVOX vocal toolkit

I am making a cartoon and i was loking for a plug in to manipulate voice. I want the best voice manipulation plug in possible(top limit set at $1500). if their is a better "rack equiptment" sutied for the job i would be willing to give it a shot also. The only thing i want in this kit is the THROAT plug-in. The kit has bad reviews thou. I was wondering if the bad reviews were because of the other plug-in's tha came witht the kit or does the THROAT plug-in suck. I was reading about it in recording magazine and they said it was great for voice over.

i heard a few things done with the toolkit. it sounded pretty cheasy. i'd be surprised if that crap is even selling. it might be the ticket for cartoon stuff though. hell a pitch shifter and eq could go a long way too though.

A friend of mine got the Antares AVOX vocal toolkit. He was messing with it while I was there. I proceeded to laugh. He proceeded to tell me to go home. Not really, but he still didn't like me laughing at his odd purchase.
