Before everyone gets excited, the guitar solo is cut and paste samples from Acid CD. Same for the drum solo. Most of the song was done on Acid. There's some weird overtones on the bass. It happened when I ran CEP noise reduction on it.

You do good stuff. I liked the last one you did, and I like this one. Nice arrangement, good feel.

I liked the guitar break, but consider this: because it's canned guitar, it's super tight and clean. So, there are two possibilities for this song: the supertight canned guitar offsets the more relaxed and homerec feel of the rest of the tune, or... if you wanted a looser, more shambling feel throughout (which suits the song better, maybe, than intense incandescent guitar) you could play some guitar yourself, or get someone to do it. The reason I say this is because on some tunes, I think it's better *not* to be too tight. If you're interested, I've got a tune up in the clinic right now ('Beedlybum'), and that tune shambles. It's like a big bird flapping its loose way through a windy sky. It ain't tight - listen to the interweaving guitars in the break - they're not on the beat always. On this tune, maybe understated guitar is more effective.

Weird sound on the drums at 4.05. Were you aiming for that? You sure?

What a good tune. Gets you singing along - 'Bigelow Mayfair'. You sure he's a DJ? :D

Thank you for the kind words Dobro.

I've thought about doing a guitar solo with a bluesy feel. Not sure if I can pull it off.
The drum solo was pasted together from different samples with different room ambiences, so I ran a little flange on the whole thing to give it a uniform sound. I think it works. I like the idea of dropping in things from a different perspective - something Beck might do.
I'll check out your song.

TQ

Thanks a lot, now I can't get this song out of my head!!@#

=]

Seriously, this is a really infectious song with a good groove. The vocal style reminds me a bit of Lou Reed without being just a rip-off of his style. Very cool.

I'll spare you my thoughts on the mix since I'm pretty new to the mixing game, but to my untrained ears it sounds great.

SMOOOOOTH.

will definitely work well in an avantgarde kind of movie or as part of a movie soundtrack.

Can also be a runaway single.

It definitely makes me want to dance.

Thanks Som and Cyan

There's that Lou Reed reference again :)
If heard it for years and take it as a compliment
