Just finished this one up today... I always wonder what people are thinking when they walk by my room and I have headphones on and am singing... It must sound odd...

Anyway, it's titled Without You. It basically reflects the way I am feeling about everything right now, seeing that I have been on the road for work for awhile now and havn't seem my family for some time... Anyway, here is the link:

I have a couple of guitar tones I used on this one... And I went ahead and layed a simple solo, pretty much the only kind I do.

Drums are Drumkit from hell superior. Bass is Spectrasonics Trilogy. Recorded in Cubase SX3 and I use mostly Voxengo effects for mixing.

Let me know what you think of this one.

Nice stuff man....Dig that it's sort of different from some of your other stuff....same vibe, some different angles. How do you do your vox....from record to mix please. I really like them. You seem to get a decent amount of verb, without it getting all whacky. I wind up not using much verb, because I destroy my vox too much with it...

Nice tones on the guitar and bass....very heavy when it all needs to be, clean at other times. Nice. Good job on the drums. I have DFHS, but have not gotten anything this cool yet. Very good drum sounds.

Cool tune man....and I just got done traveling myself, and heard the Chasphate cd several times.... :D

Pretty damn good man!!Vox sound cool but imo could use some delay. :)

Basically, with the Vox... I just struggle and whine lol... Nah...

Actually I got some new ideas from the "Mixing Engineer's Handbook 2nd Edition" for the Vocals... I only use a very small dab of reverb, what you are actually hearing is a track in the middle, and 2 panned vox at about 10 and 2 o'clock. Then throw a small delay on the panned tracks, like 10ms on one and 20ms on the other one... Also, I added 10cents pitch fine tune to one track and subtrack 10cents from the other... Thats how I mix them now.... Also, have them going to a send channel with EQ, Compression, DeEssing, and the little reverb I use.

For recording I have a Beta 87C, I want to get one of those large diaphram condensors soon. I go into a Toneport, and just use a basic recording tone with a little bit of gain...

I highly reccomend Voxengo Voxformer... I use that for the vocal compression, DeEssing, and also add some Saturation to it.

I hope that helps out some. Glad you like the Chaosphate CD. They are actually playing out now, without me because I'm on the road. I honestly don't know if I'm going to go back to them because I like the Three After project I have now so much. Check it at http://www.threeafter.com

Man, I'm always tweaking and messing with the drum sound. One day you like something, then your like... Oh, I can do it better. I really like the current sound I have on the drums, bass, guitars, and vox... So now I can focus more on recording... Glad you like the tune man.

That was hot!
Really hot stuff. Interesting vocal mix. Well done!

Kick ass tune, man!
If you could do that in a hotel room, I would look forward to hearing what you can do in a studio....
