Hello everyone

I bought Presonus Firebox and installed it on my Hp Laptop. I installed also Cubase LE that came with that interface. In Cubase i switched to Firebox ASIO Driver in device setup but it is not working. I switched things in "Sound" in Vista but it's not working either! Do you have idea what wrong i am doying ????? Please help Me

P.S. Sorry about my English

I'm not familiar with Vista because I use XP. However, make sure that you've updated the driver for the Firebox. Go to www.presonus.com to do it. Also, you'll probably need to turn on the inputs in Cubase. Go to Device, VST Inputs or something like that.

Hi
I tried that but it is still not working It looks like i'm not geting anything from Firebox to my laptop The interface is working propelly the firewire is good also.I can record with build in mic or when i plug a mic to the laptop Can you think about something else ?? or any anyone ????

I wish I was familiar with Vista, sorry. Does Vista recognize your Firebox when you turn it on? I know with XP I get a notification sound when I turn on my Firepod.

Yes i can hear the "beep" when i'm conecting the interface....
So much truble and i jus wanna make some music and have fun with it :-(

have you opened the mixer on the screen? my firebox lets no sound through until the mixer is open.

Also check mixer settings, monitor selection, input selection, etc

Cheers

Alan.

You have to set up your bit rate/sample rate before it will play. Does Cubase not offer to match them up when you start fresh?
My Cubase VST 32 does that. Can't remember whether the Cbase 4 LE does or not.

It is still not working with mixer ON So my next step is to look for the Bit rate in Cubase :-( I will have too find it first :-) Remember i'm a Newbeeee I will let you know THX

The fact that you can record with "build in mic or when i plug a mic to the laptop" suggests to me that maybe you need to get into the Vista control panel somewhere to select the Firebox as the audio device for recording. Like others, I don't know about Vista, but in XP you would go Control Panel/Sounds and Audio Devices/Audio . . . then change the settings there.

If this is done, then the Firebox becomes your soundcard and you should not be able to record via built in mike.
