I've had a little Mackie DFX6 for a couple years to amplify my band's vocals and make tapes and whatnot... but recently I thought about trying to record on my computer. I have a one channel soundcard and enough ram and space to record, but I don't even know if I can record with my little mixer. If it's possible, please tell me how to hook it up to my computer and what cords I will need. If it's not, could you suggest another inexpensive digital recording option? Also, is it true that I will only be able to record one track at a time if I only have a one channel soundcard? thanks.

You will need rca y- splitter cable for the sound card. You will also need rca cables to connect to the y-splitter to "c/d tape input."

I'm recording my band... two guitars, bass, two vocalists, and drums. so obviously i'm going to need to get some multitrack recording software. I have a friend who already has all the mics we need, so that's not a problem.
