Hey Guys
Here is another little piece of music that is on the way to being part of a finished song! (I know, I'll post a finished song one of these days  ) I decided to go ahead and track some guitars to it and see what you guys thought of the sounds. Different approach this time with the guitars. Just ignore the repetitive structure because all that junk will be thrown out the window when I finish with the drum programming, I just wanted to try out some new sounds. Any comments are welcomed! Thanks!

Sounds like another cool one, dude. I really like the rythum. Guitars are very cool. Dirty, and grungy, and well played as usual.... :D

I like it, the bass is a little buried on my monitors in places. Id like to hear a little more of that midrange clank poking through. The drums sound good too. What software are you using? No real complaints here.

Thanks Dogman and Wireneck, the comments are always very much appreciated. I'll work on that bass a little. I'm constantly searching for the right levels and tone with the bass, your input helps alot.

You are asking about the drum software I assume?
I'm using Drumkit From Hell Superior, and plugins from Elemental Audio for the processing. I can't say enough good things about DFHS. I really feel like I'm only limited by my own creativity and experience with this software. Highly recommended!...for those who can't find a drummer that is.... ;)

Thanks, guys

I feel you on that one. I am working with a guitarist who uses DKFH 2. I have only one real complaint with it. I wish they would have included a fully processed kit in the package. Its cool that the drums are raw and can be tweaked to your mix but for people who just want to use the drums as a glorified metronome untill the real drummer does his business, a processed kit would rock.
From the small amount of experience I have had with it, it seems to be a great program though.

I agree with you that it would be nice for simplicity's sake. However, one of the reasons I like the software so much is that it's giving me the chance to learn alot more about the processing involved to get good drum sounds, whether it be from "real" drums or sampled ones.
