Another listening postion question.

My basic room dimensions are 20' x 15' 8' ceilings except in one corner there is a cubby that is 4' wide x 3' deep. Its a perfect spot to shove a desk, to be out of the way , for the laptop and since one side is floor to ceiling shelves store stuff. Then I got to thinking that it probably isn't the best listening position.

No windows and only one entrance on the same wall as the cubby space, opposite side.

What would you pro's do? Thanks!
 
Desk on one of the 15' walls, centered, but several feet out from the wall itself. You don't want to place a mixing desk in a corner or off-center in the room as then you are fighting an unbalanced sound.
