I found another CD tutorial at MARS when I bought 1.3.1
Its called SONAR Quick Start by Craig Anderton, $19.95, published by Wizoo Publishing GmbH, Bremen, Germany, 2001. Its pretty good, with sections on UI, working with clips, loop construction, plug-in effects, dxis, main and aux busses, qutomation, troubleshooting, and a faq.
their page is http://www.wizoo.de/ but oddly enough, the SONAR book isn't listed ( ?! ). An email might clear that up.
NONONO!!!! Just did a search on the page's Navigator | Selection: Topics for "software" drop down and; Craig Anderton
QuickStart: Sonar
The absolute beginner's guide to getting started with Cakewalk's Sonar
came up. It's hidden for some reason.
Its overall rather light, 47 pages in all, but the CD has .avi's that step you through the material. I picked up a few pointers that otherwise would've taken some forehead slapping. Which also, otherwise, is how I pretty much spend my day.
Someday I'm going to get out the video that came with my VSS 1880 - now that I", trying to figure out SONAR, I've just been using it as a basic amp and mixer (grin).
