Hi people. I've been recording tracks for about 6 or 7 months now and I'm pretty good at it so far. But sometimes out of the blue, after I record a track then do the playbacks, I hear this "hum" sound all the way through the track! Well, not all the way through, only when the mic input is being turned on. At first I figured, "I must have the input level on the microphone up a little bit too much." But when I do the sound check before I record, it's as clear as a whistle! Is it a Boss BR-8 thing (which is what I record with) or am I still not doing something right or what?! ANY help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Are you saying that it just appears on previously recorded tracks or that you didn't notice it until later? What do you mean "only when the mic is being turned on"? Is it only on your mic tracks?

Hum starts half way thru the recording process huh? If you are using a computer to do this recording on, I will bet a nickle that this hum coincidentally begins the same time the cooling fan kicks in on your PC. If you are recording in a different forum, ignor me completely. If it IS on a pc... upgrade or reset the temp settings for your fan.
