I found this forum awhile back...it might be of interest to the R2R people.

One thing though...this forum is focused more on high-end esoteric 2-track recordings, and that's one of the things they do...make Hi-Q transfers of classics to 2-track tape.

But still, there's some good tech info on R2R decks and also about tape, repairs, parts etc...

One of the guys who runs that project has been here. He posted in Sweetbeats MM thread. I was just looking at that the other day.
