Analog Channel / Emulating solid-state console saturation

I would like to perform the same using Cakewalk Sonar 6.1 and Waves plug-ins instead of MSDSP's plug-ins. I own the Diamond Bundle from Waves.

Can someone please assist me with this?

I want to achieve the same process that Charles Dye uses when he mixes. I've viewed the "Mix it like a Record" DVD of his and it's amazing.

Do a search on channel strip software. There are plenty out there. Find one with low cpu cycles and put one on every track. A better approach in my opinion is to buy a decent stereo preamp and run your mix through it.

The rest of Charles approach is documented over at Digidesigns site. Look in some of the early DigiZines from a couple of years ago. He did a series of articles that pretty much parallel his DVD. The Diamond Bundle doesn't contain a channel strip emulator, but Waves recently released their SSL Bundle which definitely does.
