Pleads the 5th...
Buck got me thinking about model numbers in the other thread. Then I saw some footage of George Harrison playing on what looked to be the setting of his "All Things Must Pass" cover, playing an old Gibson Acoustic. So I wandered into my music room and looked at the two Gibson acoustic's I have hanging on the wall and wondered what their stories were. I aquired these two guitars at (believe it or not) the town dump. I scrounged them out of the bulky waste area. They were sitting right on top so whoever put them there must have just left, otherwise they would have been under a ton of crap. Anyway, one is an LG-3, sunburst, manufactured from 1945 to 1963; the other, to the best of my knowledge is an LG-0, natural mahogany finish, serial #51651, manufactured 1958 to 1974 (serial # indicates 1962). I thought that was pretty cool for a dump find. Both are in fairly good condition and play rather nice. I guess they're keepers. Gotta go. Tom.
