hey. i'm using a friend's vegas program to record somethin. i burned some mp3s of separate instruments to take home and listen to. i got a question.
all the instruments sound ok by their lonesome, except the distortion guitar. it's got this weird horrible metallic sound...crackling. it's totally wacked out.
could that be just because i have the levels redlining a little ? thing is... only the drums are in the red, i think-- and they sound ok. the guitar was still in the clear.
i'm going over tomorrow and i hopefully want to bring a listenable guitar track home to gauge it better.
oh, and i'm usin an adaptec cd copier. i burned it at 128 bps, 44.1. audio cds sound fine.. only data cds with distortion guitar sound horrendous.
what is the deal ?
