I don't know if anyone has tried this, but wouldn't it be cool if someone were to record basic rythym tracks to a song, post each track on a webite as an mp3, and then have others download them(convert them back to .wav) and work with them and then (after converting the completed song back to mp3)post them up for everyone to hear. I am thinking about doing it, so let me know if you're interested. It would be kind of like a jam sesion or collaboration with people you've never met...

I will be developing this idea some more, and will be devoting some space on my webite for it...I should have something more by friday...

Let me know...

Lets Do It To It

I just did a synth track that's desperately in need of real drums. Only 72 seconds. I've left the alignment clicks on the track and the Slammer in a Box drum track to let the public know where the beats were at. I'm looking for something a lot more laid back and subtle than the gorilla track I programmed in a big hurry just to act as a marker for where the beats fell IMHO. A 14 x 9 matrix. Yeah!

Look for tune #12 in the MP3 Gallery

If it's a real drag to upload your drum track at 256 don't worry about it. 128 is the minimum I'm asking.
