An Idiots Guide To The D80 Please.

Hi,
I'm new to this digital recording lark. I've just bought a Fostex D80 with no manual. I've downloaded a PDF manual, but it doesnt seem to want to tell me in words I can understand, how to sync a D80 to a software midi timecode. It uses pages and pages on how to use the D80 as a master, but I want it to sync from my laptop.

Please help someone!!!!

Don't think it works that way round. After all why are you trying to make a recorder sync to something else? The recorder is not a sound generator.
