Hey guys---haven't been around for a while but was hoping you check this out

Nicely arranged and played. Relaxing tune.

The gtr sounds kind of transducer-y, which some like and some don't I realize. Gtr's just a bit out of tune.

I can't get the link to work? I pasted it into explorer and I get a plug in error.

I will try again later.

The track sounds btw really good to me.

Nice tune and playing. Good recording too.

Gonna put this in My Music folder, if ya don't mind. ;)

Very good acoustic guitar arrangement. At the start the harmonics are very pleasant on the ears and work well with the other chords. Why dont you try adding some rhythm instruments in there. I think some natural sounding wood rhythm instruments would fit nicely. Harmonica? There lovely guitar tracks :D

How were they recorded im interested?

I like the stuff going on over on the sides. Really adds a lot. The lead in the middle, especially the finger pick stuff, is also really good, except for the few times when the player hits those hard, quick strums. There's a couple of harmonic notes, then that hard strum. That kind of thing. A lot of it from 2:00 to 2:08. That's where I noticed it the most. Anyway, those strums sound really harsh, distorted. The rest of the song is so darn pretty. Those strums just stick out.

Thanks for the input guys.I recorded the guitar picking with my Rodent condenser mike and DI into my pre-amp to the 2488.The strumming the same actually. This was right before I had decided to no longer DI at all...Anyways---glad you all enjoyed it man--yes Nick--I agree.I will probably end up redoing it...thanks again for the valuable input...

reminds me of like nick drake, or a car commercial or something.

It sounds really good. Very nice mix and very clean sound.

Was this recorded in a treated room??

Also, I notice on your website that you use alesis active M1 monitors. What do you think of these? Did you use them for this mix?? I play mostly acoustic. Not quite as much finger style, but I do dabble in that a lot. I am however in the market for new monitors and really need something that can translate an acoustic guitar very clearly and precise. Let me know if you think these are the monitors for me. Thanks a lot.

I am no expert on monitors--but I do believe these have done the trick for me.Others might disagree---in the end you do what you can with what you have.If you have a good ear it can go a long way man.No it isn't a treated room but it is pretty good for recording...

Yay!!!... nice!

wayyy too major for an old metalhead, but REALLY nicely rolling tune, and well played/miced. Keep it up!!

.add a distorted bassline and some percussive stuff and I'll be your fan??.. :D
