Is this a good sign? Has N-track finally reached a point of reliability and usability that no one needs to ask question any more?


Or has everyone just run off somewhere else?

Where is everybody? :(

That's not true, what I meant to say was a "double act".
 
Only 5 threads on the whole forum..... hmmmm... I need to check out ntrack.

But I'll bring it right back if I get the urge to touch small boys or innocent animals! :eek:
 
I guess N-Track is that good! :) Not sure where all the folks are? I always recommend N-Track, so I'm guessing all the folks that take my advice (as they should :) ) are able to figure everything out on their own!
 
Today I got a wild hair in my ass to try N-Tracks. I have been using adobe audition for about 2 years now and still fight with VST, midi, and asio support. I don't know why I haven't tried N-Tracks sooner. Damn this is the best recording software ever! I have tried sonor, cakewalk, audition, acid....this is by far the best!
 
I think he was lost during/after the last anti-spam campaign....

Damnit, I forgot my logon info for the Ntrack forum...
 
I just looked at his profile, he was here this morning. I guess he doesn't post that much any more.

He got tired of getting a ration of crap every time he posted because he always seemed to throw in something about his beloved software (I am not going to repeat it, everyone in here knows what I am talking about) in every post he made, even if it had nothing to do with the topic of the thread. I know he still lurks around, I see his name pop up, but he doesn't post.

Seriously though, that's cool as hell.
Makes me feel better about my choice, which at the time was solely for financial reasons. I'd never tried any other software (except a brief look at cakewalk).

Cakewalk didn't look user friendly to me. There was just too much useless looking crap on the screen. I was in it for an hour and still couldn't figure it out. I got Vegas and it's so simple it's not funny.
But the price! :eek: ($600)

The only reason I have it was it was free...
 
No complaints about n-Track here. I have Cakewalk HS XL, Tracktion and n-Track. I can't recall any problems I have had with n-Track, so far and it seems to be more flexible than HS XL (can use more plug-ins, easy to customize interface), at least when working with audio. I am still learning Tracktion though.
 
Totally unrelated

But I didn't want to start a new thread...

A friend recently got Cubase with a USB interface he bought, but He can't use the VST plug ins that came with cubase in N-tracks.
Is this some proprietary thing, or is N just not finding them?
 
Does n-track do vst plugins? If it does, you might need to point n-track to them.
