Hi, I record with my computer and a crappy little mixer. Is it ok to plug an amp into the sound card, i'm thinking no, but i won't to be sure before i try it.

ONLY if it has a DI output. If you put the speaker load into your computer.........well, I will laugh my ass off for a while.

If you mean taking the speaker output into the soundcard, absolutely not. If your amp has a preamp out, that will work as long as the level is not too hot, although without a speaker simulation of some type, it won't sound like a mic'd amp or even as good as a POD or J Station.

The fire department won't be laughing.
