Ampeg SVT-70T ?

I need to get a good sounding, loud, bass amp for a live band...loud and big enough for rehersal/gigging and I found this really close to me on craigslist.com...

is 70watts and one 15' speaker enough for me? my bassist friend told me that it might do the trick, since it varies a lot from manufactorers and he likes ampeg.

also, if you have any sugestions, my budget is about 550 give or take 100.

i dont think that 70 watts will do it. i have a carvin pro bass 300 with a single 15" and it just barely does the job and thats with an eden 4x10 also running. the pro bass 300 is 300 watts. go for a minimum of 150 watts.
