I´m in LOVE with the tone of Hendrix on that album... I know that amn is not the whole thing, but anyway... anyone knows which amp Jimi used on that show?
Some people talks about the JTM45 and other about the Super 100...
Any ideas?
Thanks!

The only amp I have seen him play in pictures is Super Lead 100.

Check on when the album was recorded and then when the super 100 was released, that should give you a pointer.

he didn't just use marshall, a lot of his sounds came from fender twins...don't know if he used them live though.

True that.I remember a pic of him onstage where he was using a Fender stack . In this pic, if I remember correctly, he was playing a strat with a red curly cable coming out of it. I am guessing it was probably a Bassman head and a cab with two or four 12's in it. I've also seen Hendrix playing a Gibson "V" with a bigsby....that on shocked me.

You can't make any assumptions on what amp Hendrix may have used at any particular time, whether live or in the studio.

Read this thread and you'll see what I mean.

Check out http://www.guitargeek.com you will find a number of artists and the various rigs they use (used) to get "that sound" on various recordings. I can't vouch for their accuracy but at the same time i can't deny it either, anyway it's worth checking out.
