I play acoustic guitar and sing. I currently have a Peavey Ecoustic 112 amp which I love. It has a two inputs one of which is a mic channel. The only problem I have is that occasionally I want to play with other people and I don't have enough inputs. So even though, I love the amp, I was thinking of trying to sell it and get a PA instead. What I was thinking was just getting an amp and some quality floor monitors. I already have a mackie board that I use for recording. One other advantage to this is that I eventually want to ditch using my computer speakers for monitors and get some real studio monitors. That way my amp would come in handy in that application as well. Basically I am looking for some opinions on this idea. How would floor monitors sound. Could I gig with this setup (coffee houses, etc.). I really hate to part with the amp though and I wouldn't unless somebody gave me a fair price for it.
