Hi

I have Cubase Studio 4 and I would like to purchase a Guitar and Bass Amp modeling software. I'm interested in native Guitar Rig 3 or Wave GTR3. I think Wave GTR3 has more options but I don't know the drawbacks. IK Amplitude 2 could also be an option but I think it's going to be more expensive.

Thanks,

Jack Real

Hi Randy

Thanks for the answer. I going to download the two demo versions tonight and make some test but that was my impression too.

Thanks,

I have GTR3

I alsow own a line6 toneport UX1 with the gold bundle plugin and line6 gave me the free ampfarm plug. I love it although I do agree the GTR3 sounds better and the boss CE-1 in the toneport sounds nothing like the UAD version

Hi

I can not run the GTR3 demo version without purchasing an iLock. Is there a way around this ?

Thanks,

Jack

I think GR3 or AT2 is good amp modeling. Consider one thing. If you can't get decent clean sound of your guitar recorded to your PC, nor GR3 neither AT2 will make your sound gritty/sparkly/crunchy. This is what is my problem.

Record clean guitar into PC (no matter in Cubase, Adobe Audition even in Windows Sound recorder) - of the clean is OK, not muddy, then GR3 or AT2 will make the job done!
