hey guys thinking of getting an amp head for my cab
anyone have any suggestions i am willing to spend approx 400 euro (560 or so dollars) on it as i have been saving for one with a while (and have my vox ac15vr sold)
i play mostly green day blink 182 or nirvana foo fighters type music
will also be buying either a boss ds-1 or proco rat 2 distortion pedal to go with it
i currently have a tom delonge epi sig and epi les paul junior but i may be getting a gibson sg special hc as a swap with one of my friends for my 2 guitars
any help welcome
many thanks
Tony

I have a Randall Rx120rh. It gets the best tone I've felt through a cheaper solid state head.
The bugera heads are underrated too. The 1990, and the 333 are gems for their prices. And I think they've even upgraded those models now.

Oh,
I have a Ds1 too.
Through the randall clean channel it's really responsive to tweaking.

Keep your eyes peeled and check used places locally and online. I got a JCM 800 50 watt head for 600 taxes in.

You can find great deals you just need luck and lots of looking! Happy hunting.

cheers guys!
i live in a small town with not one music store the best place is about 50 miles away and is seriously over priced, something like 100euro for a boss ds-1 where on the internet they are only 48euro!
i was looking into bugera heads they seem to be a pretty solid choice i was really looking into the 6260
i was also looking into a marshall mg110hfx which seems to be decent
the one that really caught my eye so far is the vox night train 50 but at 600euro is expensive at the moment with a holiday coming up but may be worth a look after that
thanks for the options so far and keep them coming!
thanks :D

I've heard the 6262 and it too is awesome. The 6260 I haven't experienced, but I'm sure it will be solid.

I've found that most lower end Marshall models seem to lack an in your face feel that I get from other amps in the same price range.

Check out the Phaez amps website too. Custom made amps that are affordable, awesome, and loud.

If you haven't played on a Blackstar I would check them out. They sound real nice. Not sure if it's the sound you are looking for but they make some great stuff.

thanks for the input guys!
i was maybe thinking either a bugera 6260 or v55hd through a 4x12 bugera cab which would be a real reasonable price i was amazed!i just want a complete fresh start from what i have already
i would also be looking into a new guitar maybe a top range epiphone or a gibson..was looking at a gib sg special in faded worn cherry but that is juat an idea at the moment i'll wait a few months just want rid of my own rig and start fresh!
