Oh, my GOD. Lounge singer discovers synths. That is HORRIBLE. Seriously, almost unrecognizable. "America The Beautiful" is a wonderful song, and whoever this person is has freakin' BUTCHERED it.Just googled him, and found an equally retched version of "Say A Little Prayer." My GOD, what a hack!

You, too, are entitled to your opinion, Rami. By all means, have at it.I have noticed that you are quite opinionated, too, yet are VERY quick to whine and bitch when somebody ELSE puts forth a strong opinion- A sure sign of self-loathing. You might want to talk to your therapist about that. Interesting, too, how quick you are to assume (yeah, we all know how to break down that word) that I am, some how, worked up about it. I can express strong feelings and not have my blood pressure soar, but given your comments, I can only assume you can not. So, which of us has a blood-pressure problem, hmmmm???
You don't come to anyone's defense, but rather get pissy when someone displays behavior similar to yours. Sorry, bud, but you can not claim any exclusive, here.
Dave, I always have approached a song posted here expecting to enjoy it, and I never pull my punches- if I like it, I say so, if I don't, I am just as forthright, and I try to find something positive, even in songs I find woefully inadequate. Conversely, if there is something about a song I don't like, in spite of it being, IMO, a good effort, I say so, then, too. As I said, I truly like ATB (more on that, below) and was looking forward to hearing your version- until I did. No, I have not posted any songs here for review, and I fully expect to be roundly beat to a pulpwhen I finally do, if only because I have been so unmerciful in my reviews. The real reason I have not posted a song here is because I believe that, unless I can add something to a song, and I mean something truly special, I may have a perfect right to play that song, but I have no right to foster it on others. I self-sensor my stuff so severely that, so far, none of it has made it here.
"Offended?" No, Dave, your version did not offend me, even the slightest, but I do want to say this: ATB is a truly fantastic song- some feel it would be a much better "National Anthem" than "The Star Spangled Banner," as ATB 1) celebrates the natural beauty of the land the United States lucked into claiming as it's own, rather than a brief moment in time when our predecessors were beating the crap out of somebody else; 2) is a much better song, and 3) is so much easier to sing at ball games. (I agree on all three points, btw.)
At first, I didn't find any redeeming quality in your version of ATB, and I owe you an apology for not recognizing your patriotism is that quality- you certainly deserve credit for that, and I applaud it. I celebrate all patriotism except that which seeks to quell dissent (which I find to be false patriotism at it's most extreme)- and I did not see any of that in your post or comments.
I truly agree, America is beautiful. Certainly, one of our best reasons for celebrating.
In possible partial mitigation of stevieb's first post, I got the impression you didn't initially realise that the original poster was the guy behind the tune posted? I may be wrong, but seemed to me that you just thought it was a post in celebration of independence day.
May explain why the criticism seemed a little personal? I dunno.
You are correct, I did not realize the poster and the tune poster were the same person- but having said what I said, I decided to stand behind it, feeling that saying something like "I didn't know it was you!" would have seemed disingenuous.
And Rami, if you didn't read my post, you have no business commenting on it.
Yeah, that's the funny thing. And then he tries to defend it by saying I've done the same, which is bullshit. Then.....he admits that he olny insulted the OP because he thought he was really insulting someone else....in other words, he doesn't have the balls to insul;t someone directly. A hypocrite and a coward. What a waste of flesh....lots and lots of flesh.Lol @ stevie doing the exact thing he complains about in every thread on this board.
