I wanna buy me a new PC with AMD processors. Does anybody know if a setup with a DFI motherboard is any good for recording? Or am I heading for trouble?

I would steer clear of DFI. Not because it's a bad board - it's generally stable, and has a fair performance characteristics, but Tweakability and expandibility of DFI boards generally leave a lot to be desired.

That said, they are a solid OEM supplier, not enthusiast boards. You might want to check out a few reviews on the web.

In that case, what motherboards work well with AMD.
I've seen a lot of guys that post their PC setups here.
Where can I find a store that can sell PCs already customized and optimized for music recording?

Pretty much most KT266A setups work well. There are a rash of incompatibilities with the KT/KM/KL 133 serie, so they are not advised to be used. Good brands would be Soyo, Asus, Abit and EPox.

If you're going to be doing recording, the best way to go about it is to figure which souncard to use, and check what hardware is compatible with it.
