AMD where to get online?

OK i'm getting that motherboard + memory, the Asus motherboard, with t-bird 1.3 or whatever, i believe its M266 somethin like that. Anyway, I was wondering if any of you knew a nice place to buy it online for a descent price?? If you can help me out (i'm bad at surfin the net) it'd really be helpful.

doesn't that place like sell you not the real thing though?? they're cheap but don't they post like used ones and crud like that?
 
pricewatch doesn't sell the stuff...It just lists almost all the possible places to get hardware from on the web..sorted by price..

When you do find a place to get something from..go to www.resellerratings.com It's where users evaluate online computer hardware vendors.
 
Pricewatch is great, but be careful. I almost got burned $650 by a retailer who went out of business the day after I purchase. Yeah right, there website is still up....

As much as I hate banks, VISA sic-ed em like a pit bull. And then I got a chastising email from paypall for not going through their dispute service....

I got my money back but it was almost a nightmare.

The sight to avoid is www.altima2000.com.

Anyway here's a good trick.

If you plan on a big purchase, by a stick of memory first. If it ships, and gets to you ok, then I'd feel safer.

Also resellerratings.com sounds like a great resource.

I did a search and this place had the best overall prices. They even have a $100 17" monitor.

I'll second that about altima. They burned me, wouldn't answer their phone, and refused to do warantee work.
