AMD or intel cpu for home recording studio ?

Well back on the first page of the thread you said you need up to 3 mics at a time which takes you out of the range of basic two track interfaces. I'd personally recommend the M-Audio Fast Track Ultra--up to 4 mics, plus line inputs, phantom power, MIDI, etc. If you could do with only two mics at a time, then the Fast Track Pro is a good one.

However, frankly all the known brands of interface (M-Audio, Edirol, E-MU, MOTU, etc.) are pretty good. It likely comes down to the feature set and price as much as anything.

^ I am planning to connect an axiom keyboard ,a mic for now .
please suggest me a good one which has no driver issues and problems .(I will use windows 7 home premium 64 OS which comes with the new laptop )
