Linux Man...
Hey, I am looking at getting a new DAW computer and want to go AMD. I was wondering what mobos are recomended these days, I know a while ago VIA was no good. I use a MOTU 2408 and the motu site still says no via, but the last update was april2001. I searched a while on this board and didn't really find anything that I was looking for. So um yeah, what mobos are good for this stuff esp with MOTU products...

Look at the post by coplinger on this date. Don't go with a mobo with a VIA chipset. This seems to be true with several (maybe all) soundcards. I'm new to this stuff and don't know much, but I can read.

I did read that post, and that of course brought up concern. I am also pretty sure there are many people out on this board using AMD products with pro soundcards and having no problems at all. I know for a long time, IWILLKK266 was the way to go, but now that the board is 1.5 years old, what is in?

Check out the thread if you haven't already "What mobo do you use with Delta 66".

The Via issue looks like resolved a long time ago. recently I asked M Audio what mobo they recommended for AMD+ Delta 1010 and they said Asus 7 V333 ( Via chipset) , some other guys whot asked for delta 66 got the same answer.

I appreciate the help everyone is trying to give. In addition to the amd/mobo question, will most mobos fit in a 4U case?
