I am looking for a quality 24bit soundcard to run my board(r+l out) into the soundcard and digital out to my CD recorder. I am not concerned with multiple ins and outs or effects or software (have Vegas & Soundforge).Only a quality sounding,quiet card in the range of $250-400. I found the Gina but also found it may or may not be compatable with my AMD K6 (tm) 3D processor. Then I thought I was set with the Darla66 but then found it would work with my AMD chip but not with a VIA chipset. Lookind under my system devices I found a number of items starting with VIA. I have a compaq pressario 5220. Any one out there with any suggestions, or does anyone know if the Gina will work? Or another card that would?
