I really like the "ribrest" idea on his acoustics. It seems I played an acoustic with something like that, but I can't recall where or what is was. I have played too many guitars.
Grit is one of the two best in the world, the other being the Larry Robinson. Technique wise, there are many people out there who can cut as well as them. There is, in my opinion, no one who has the compositional skills of Grit Laskin. I love the way his stuff just flows off the edges of the guitar.
